Brexit, The Election in Australia and Donald Trump: All Bad For Hillary Clinton’s “Four More Years”

Sometimes voters vote “for” something or someone — and sometimes against.

In the case of Barack Obama, everyone chose “hope.” Who could resist that wonderful message of health care for everyone, the end of climate change and economic prosperity all rolled into the first Black American to get close enough to the White House to be a plausible “first.”

But “hope” has turned into “dope” and “nope.”

The Canadian Parliament chanted “four more years” when Mister Obama visited last week, but the Canadians we spoke to said that didn’t mean they liked Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary looks mean and careless and criminal to us,” one Canadian told Peace and Freedom on the day the “Presumptive Democratic Party Candidate for President of the United States” spent 3 and 1/2 hours answering questions for the FBI.

“Was that wrong?”

And that just a few days after former President Bill Clinton, now a “regular citizen” like the rest of us, entered a U.S. government aircraft on a Phoenix runway to chat with the Attorney General of the United States supervising the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email while Secretary of State, the Clinton Foundation and the potential charge of public corruption for Bill Clinton himself.

How’s that for improper?

Both Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch went to law school (we checked) where every nincompoop has drilled into them the ethical rules of their profession. Bill Clinton lost his ethics a long time ago — and now he has made himself a part of ruining Loretta Lynch’s.

There’s something going on in America this Fourth of July that every American should reject.

Our political elites are not playing by the rules. At least not any rules from Law School, the Constitution, or the handbook at the State Department. There’s a lot of political correctness and talk of transparency — but there’s no real honorable transparency — and more than a smidgen of political corruption.

Barack Obama’s IRS improperly harassed conservatives and then stone walled the Congressional committees all Americans rely upon to make sure our money is well spent and corruption is minimized. But the IRS chief stonewalled Congress and when asked about corruption in the IRS, President Obama proclaimed “not a smidgen of evidence of corruption.” President Obama is just about as bad at following law school ethics as Bill Clinton — he pre-judges the IRS just like he pre-judged complaints about wrongful medical care for veterans, pollution in western rivers caused by the EPA and incompetence at Health and Human Services. His Obama Government hasn’t a smidgen of corruption — and not a smidgen of accountability, honesty or transparency either.

The Affordable Care Act was sold to Americans and lawmakers on a pack of lies — according to MIT professor Johnathan Gruber. He said the “stupidity of the American people” would allow the White House and everyone else to get away with the lies upon which the ACA was built. It is named “affordable” but there is no affordability. You couldn’t keep your doctor or your plan. And the cots to the patients and the taxpayers keep going up.

We could go on. Law school graduates should be good at enforcing the law like on the border with Mexico or on the streets of Chicago but it is just not so.

But the elephant in the room, and I don’t mean the Republican mascot, is Hillary Clinton. While serving as Secretary of State, after knowing one American who worked for her was dead at Benghazi and the U.S. Ambassador, Chris Stevens, a friend of Mrs Clinton’s, was missing, she chaired a meeting to discuss not a rescue, not what to do — but a meeting about what to say — what conceivable excuse or lie might be handy to tell the stupid American people that this had nothing to do with violent and murderous and completely well planned and rehearsed Islamic terrorists.

You know the rest. Voila! This wasn’t about bad policy made by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. This was not about bad policy that killed Americans. This was about a bad video made by someone else.

And Hillary Clinton’s emails while she was Secretary of State, which were all handled entirely by her server at home, almost certainly compromised U.S. national security and for what?  To make money. Probably to allow a kind of “insider trading” tips only the U.S. Secretary of State could know in advance — like how to bet on Greece’s default to make money here at home.

Americans do not want to be governed by such people as these.

FBI people say that what is almost certainly the case is that Hillary Clinton used her high office as Secretary of State to make money. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s four top aides were routinely exchanging emails with the Clinton Foundation and Teneo Holdings, a closely allied public relations firm that Bill Clinton helped launch. They exchanged emails at the rate of 700 per month while Hillary was Secretary of State.

Why were Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Michael Fuchs, Ambassador-At-Large Melanne Verveer, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin — while working for U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — sending so many emails to the Clinton Foundation money-making clearing house?

Huma Abedin said that Hillary’s use of private email impeded her in her work as U.S. Secretary of State.

Whatever Hillary Clinton was paid as Secretary of State should be returned to the American people.

Transparency will tell us the truth. But maybe not for a long time. Because team Clinton lawyers just remembered what they learned in law school and they are using every trick in the book to hide the truth from the American taxpayers.

Just like they always do.

End Note: In any “normal” election year in American, Donald Trump would not have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected president and living in the White House. But this is not a “normal year.” The same rejection of the elites and the party in power, the same disgust with bad immigration policy and the ever more dangerous aspects of the Islamic State we see here in American can be found elsewhere too. In Britain, the people of the parliamentary democracy rejected the European Union and voted for “Brexit.” In Australia, the “sure thing” for Malcolm Turnbull and his party has turned into a mess that includes fewer elites and more rebels from outside the “regular political establishment.”

That can happen here in American too. And every day it seems more plausible that Donald Trump, despite his many flaws, is less flawed and more clear-thinking and even less corrupt than Hillary Clinton.

My dad, who was an FBI agent, used to say, “The Republic will survive.” He had total faith in the smarts of the American voters — unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who treat us like idiot children.

Happy Independence Day! As my Vietnamese-American bride says, “This is the greatest country in the world.”
